ENERGY STAR CERTIFIED BUILDINGS SAVE MONEY$$ GMS Energy Star Label

CONGRATULATIONS!
Gray Middle School has been awarded the EPA ENERGY STAR Certification!!!
ENERGY STAR certified buildings save energy, save money, and help protect the environment by generating fewer greenhouse gas emissions than typical buildings.
To be eligible for ENERGY STAR certification, a school building must earn an ENERGY STAR score of 75 or higher (on EPA’s 1-100 energy performance scale), indicating that it performs better than at least 75 percent of similar buildings nationwide.   In other words, these schools perform in the top 25 percent of similar buildings nationwide!   An ENERGY STAR certified building is also verified by a licensed Professional Engineer.

School buildings that earn EPA’s ENERGY STAR certification use an average of 35 percent less energy than typical buildings and also release 35 percent less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
